Which blackout fabric should you choose? Blackout or Dimout ?
The Ruflex company offers both types of light-blocking fabrics – Blackout and Dimout. Curtains made of light-blocking fabrics have many advantages, but their basic function is that they do not let light in. Their names come from the English language. The word Dimout means: shading , while the word Blackout means total blocking of light. The very translation of these two names tells us a lot about the different properties of these fabrics. Blackout almost completely stops the sun rays. Dimout offers a similar effect, but the darkness is not complete. Each of these modern fabrics has its applications in everyday use and as fabrics for special purposes.
Applications of Blackout fabrics .
Blackout fabrics are great for meeting rooms or places where large screens or projectors are used for presentations, because darkness is necessary to make a film or presentation clearly visible on a wall or screen.
To create a good, professional photo, it is necessary to have under control not only the camera parameters, but also the light. For full control of daylight in the room, the use of blackout curtains on the windows is necessary.
Hotels – blackout curtains
Blackout curtains are a must in every hotel room. Hotel fabrics meet high technical requirements. The hotel using blackout fabrics cares for the comfort and safety of guests. Darkening the windows, especially in the city center, gives a better chance of a good night’s sleep. An additional advantage of Blackout fabrics is also worth mentioning. Some of them have a flame retardancy certificate. When exposed to flames, instead of burning, the fibers of the fabric only melt, thus preventing the spread of fire.
Bedroom – blackout curtains
Blackout fabrics are great for bedrooms. The human body and mind regenerate fully only during sleep. For a good night’s sleep, the body needs darkness. Only then do hormones and enzymes produced in our organism allow complete relax. Everyone who has ever had the opportunity to sleep in a well-darkened bedroom will always choose blackout fabrics as a material for curtains or blinds.
Blackout fabrics in the theater, cinema and other public buildings.
The advantages of blackout fabrics are so great that they are also successfully used in other public buildings, e.g. as theater curtains.
Applications of Dimout fabrics
Dimout fabrics will be useful when the sun rays have to be limited, but not completely eliminated. The light-reducing fabric will add lightness and freshness to the rooms.
With Dimout curtains, even on a hot day, rest in the living room can be comfortable. The sun rays will not hurt your eyes when they just lightly fall into the room. The heat will stay outside. Dimout fabrics create a positive and warm atmosphere. Such climate will also work well in offices and other premises used at daytime. Curtains made of light-reducing fabrics will let you fully enjoy the movies watched. Available in many colors, they are an interesting decorative element.
Dimout fabrics in offices mean high comfort of work. To avoid unnecessary strain for the eyes, darkening the room is worthwhile. The content of the monitor becomes more visible. The noise-reducing functions and safety are also important.
